This course provides support workers with an understanding of epilepsy, seizures and first aid, incluidng the administration of emergency medication.

You will be guided through the various elements of support of a client, including lifestyle support, psychological impacts, medication, documentation, seizure first aid and medication for seizure management.

With a focus on safe client support, you will learn key responsibilities in the process for checking and administering emergency medication to ensure client safety and reduce the risk of errors and adverse events.

Downloadable learning materials and video demonstrations provide detailed instruction on the administration of medication for seizure management, and preparation for practical assessment.

The face to face practical assessment gets you to demonstrate the skills you have learnt to ensure you are ready to provide safe support.
